Yes, homemade pasta takes some time.
How it could be improved? By bread maker machine, by dough mixer, by pasta maker and by your family enthusiasts. I use Marcato Atlas 150 and am totally satisfied.

Marcato has many accessories for different types of pasta. My favourite one is fettuccine. And no, I don’t have pastadrive: sometime it’s necessary to be in slowdown.
As for drying it’s better to use wood stand with many sticks for the process.

But just to leave for drying on a table is also a good decision.

How to make pasta? Ask children to help you. Have some fun. Take photos of the process. Making pasta is a lot of playfulness. In my opinion it will be a good memory in a future.
Homemade pasta is delicious like every homemade dish.
It’s healthy.
Let’s start with base yellow pasta.
Pasta
yellow and orange, red and green
Ingredients
BASE
500 g all propose flough plus 100 g flough for dusting
5 eggs (take eggs out of the fridge in half an hour)
Add other ingredients coordinated to the pasta’s color you would like to get:
FOR YELLOW PASTA
50 g water
FOR GREEN PASTA
100 g spinach
ORANGE PASTA
150 g carrots
FOR RED PASTA
1 tsp concentrated tomato paste
FOR BLACK PASTA
1 bag squid ink
Instruction
YELLOW PASTA
- Mix eggs and flough, add water gradually. Knead the dough. In this step I use a bread maker.
2. Prepare your pasta machine according to its instruction.

3. Roll out the dough to the desired thickness, then cut into the pasta. I’m making fetuccini today.

4. Leave the paste to dry completely. Use a stand if necessary.

GREEN PASTA
Wash spinach, then boil for 15 min. Cool, blend and add to the base dough (there is no water there!).
ORANGE PASTA
Peel carrots, slice then boil 15-25 min. Mash and add to the base dough.
