Working together
How studio-made food and product projects are planned, produced and delivered — from first enquiry to final visual set.
For planned food and product visual stories
I work with food brands, ingredient producers, bakeries, publishers and lifestyle-led product businesses on planned visual sets: product-in-use stories, seasonal campaigns and editorial recipe content.
Most projects are created in my studio in Kuopio, Finland. Products can be shipped, and planning, approvals and delivery can be handled remotely.
How the collaboration works
Enquiry
Send a short description of your product, campaign, recipe content or seasonal idea.
Useful details include your product type, intended usage, preferred timeline, number of products or recipes, where the images will be used and your approximate budget range.
Scope & visual direction
We clarify the project type, intended usage, key deliverables, approximate visual direction and production needs.
At this stage, the goal is to define the framework of the project. Detailed moodboards, shot lists, styling plans and production plans are developed after booking.
Estimate & booking
After the scope, usage needs and approximate budget range are clear, I prepare an estimate.
The project is confirmed once the estimate, usage terms, timeline and booking terms are agreed. Detailed creative planning begins after booking and advance payment.
For starting points, see Commissions & Fees.
Studio production
Most food and product projects are created in my studio. Products can be shipped in advance; ingredients, props, surfaces and styling items are planned according to the agreed concept.
Editing and delivery
Final images are edited according to the agreed scope and prepared for the intended usage: website, social media, campaign, print or other agreed formats.
Final files are delivered digitally. Raw files are not delivered.
Studio-based, remotely managed
My standard workflow is studio-based. This allows controlled light, repeatable sets, careful styling and consistent colour across the full image set.
Remote collaboration is possible: products can be shipped, concepts can be approved online, and final files are delivered digitally.
Selected people or maker elements can be discussed when they are part of a product or brand story.

Usage & Licensing
All images remain the intellectual property of the photographer. Clients receive agreed usage rights depending on the project and intended use.
Usage is discussed before booking and reflected in the estimate. Extended, exclusive, paid advertising, print or packaging usage can be arranged separately.
Post-production
Final images include professional colour work, tonal refinement, basic clean-up and preparation for the agreed usage.
Advanced retouching, extensive object removal, complex compositing or additional versions can be quoted separately.
Delivery
Delivery timelines depend on the scope, number of final images, level of editing and whether video or additional formats are included.
Smaller visual sets are usually delivered within 1–2 weeks after the shoot. Larger seasonal, recipe-led or campaign sets may require 2–4 weeks.
Rush delivery can be discussed before booking.

FAQ
Can products be shipped to your studio?
Yes. Many food and product projects can be planned and produced remotely.
Do you work on location?
My standard food and product workflow is studio-based. Selected people or maker elements can be discussed when they are part of the brand story.
Do you photograph restaurants?
I do not focus on standard menu coverage. I work with restaurants, cafés or bakeries when the project is built around a product, seasonal campaign, recipe content or brand story.
Do you provide video?
Short-form video can be added when it supports the concept: movement, process, atmosphere or product use.
Can you help with visual direction?
Yes. Visual direction, concept, mood, styling direction and shot structure can be developed as part of a booked project.
For larger projects, this can also be handled as a separate paid planning stage.
Where can I see starting fees?
Starting points are available on the Commissions & Fees page. Final estimates depend on scope, production needs, usage rights and timeline.
