In this recipe, it is important to use tea from bags: their contents are usually smaller and more uniform. This is what you need to add to cookie dough. Please check that your tea is absolutely natural.


Earl Grey Cookies

Ingredients

100 g butter of room temperature
85 g sugar
1 egg
85 g all purpose flour
60 g whole flour
6 Earl Grey tea bags
0.5 tsp vanilla sugar
0.5 tsp bakery powder
pinch of salt

Method

1. Preheat oven into 200 °C.
2. Beat in a bowl butter and sugar, then add vanilla sugar.
3. Add egg and mix well.
4. In another bowl mix well both types of flour, bakery powder, salt and contents of tea bags.
5. Combine the flour and butter mixture and knead the dough.
6. Roll the dough into balls the size of a large walnut, as usual in this Cookie Calendar.
7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper at a distance of 2-3 cm.
8. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
